Solution

Dear Student

At a given temperature, the solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas above the liquid.
As the pressure of the gas above the liquid increases, the solubility of the gas increases in the liquid.
Henry's Law, which states that the solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of that gas above the surface of the solution.
