Explain the electric fuse and its use.

An electric fuse is a piece of wire having high resistivity and low melting point. an alloy of lead and tin has this property, so they are used in fuse wires.

Use- When there is an increase in the load or high current in the circuit this wire sacrifices itself in order to protect the circuit. It melts immediately so, the circuit becomes open and we save any kind of damage.
