Solution

As the river enters the plains it turns and twist and forms a large bends known as meanders.Due to erosion and deposition the ends of the meander loops came closer and the meander loop cut off from the river and makes a cut off lake.Which is also known as oxbow lake.
When river overflows from its bank , it leads to the flooding.Which deposits layer of fine side along its bank and formed a flat fertile flood plain. These raised bank are also called as levees.
