Cars, trucks and other vehicles are provided with treaded tyres to have better grip with the ground. Such tyres help expel water on a rainy day and hence improve traction.
Shoes with spikes provide a better grip on ground. Friction is increased due to improved interlocking which in turn reduces the chances of slipping.
