They do not have a definite shape and volume: The molecules of gases are loosely packed.
Gases can flow: They can move quickly and exhibit a negligible force of attraction which doesn't allow the molecules to remain in their place.
As they have weak intermolecular forcesof attraction because the particles are far away from each other and that is why they have large inter-molecular spaces between the molecules.
The random motion of their particles exerts pressure
Hence, the particles of a gas move in all possible directions and collide with each other and the walls of the container. Thus, they exert pressure in all directions.
