Solution
Preferential liquefaction:
Preferential liquefication is used for the separation of gases on basis of liquefication.
Liquefication is the method of converting gas into liquid by applying some pressure.
The gas liquefaction will take below or at its critical temperature.
The critical temperature is the temperature above which a gas can not liquefy whatever pressure may apply.
After liquefying a gas it can be separated using fractional distillation
For example, As the critical temperature of is high compared to the critical temperature of . is liquefied first. Higher the critical temperature, the higher the ability to liquefy.
