• The constitution is the greatest rulebook of India. The entire country follows the provisions mentioned in the constitution. These provisions reflect some characteristics embedded in the constitution which in turn are the characteristics of the nation. These characteristics are Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic.
• The country needs a constitution to achieve its goals. These goals are justice, equality, liberty and fraternity among all the citizens.
• As a nation we aim to achieve the five characteristics and the four goals of our nation. All these values are written in the preamble.
