Solution:
The constitution is the greatest rulebook of India. The entire country follows the provisions mentioned in the constitution. These provisions reflect some characteristics embedded in the constitution which in turn are the characteristics of the nation. These characteristics are Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic.

The country needs a constitution to achieve its goals. The constitution of India always strives to achieve certain goals. These goals are justice for all, equality of all the citizens, liberty to express ourselves and fraternity among all the citizens. Fraternity simply means the sense of belongingness among the people in the same group.

As a nation we aim to achieve the five characteristics of our nation and the four goals. All these values are written in the preamble. Our constitution also starts with the preamble which gives the excerpts of the constitution. It is rightly said that the preamble is an extract of the constitution.
