2. Pitch:
   1. The pitch of a sound is a characteristic of a sound that differentiates between a shrill sound and a flat sound.
   2. An increase of frequency resulting in a change of pitch.
3. Compression- It is a region of high pressure and high density in a wave motion.
4. Rarefaction- It is a region of low pressure and low density in a wave motion.
5. Longitudinal wave- Longitudinal waves are the wave in which wave motion is in the direction of vibration of particles of the medium involved in a wave motion.
6. Decibel:-
   1. Decibel is the unit of Loudness of sound.
   2. Loudness is the measure of the intensity of a sound.
7. Noise pollution:-
   1. Noise pollution or sound pollution, is the propagation of noise(sound wave) that impacts human habitat or animal life.
   2. The different sources of outdoor noise are mainly caused by machines, transport, and communication system.
