Explain the following terms :
(a) Ornithophily.
(b) Elephophily.
(c) Artificial pollination.
The three terms , Ornithophily , Elephophily and artificial pollination are three different modes of cross pollination which refers to the transference of pollen grains from the male part of a floweranther to the female part of the flower , the stigma for fertilization .
( a ) Ornithophily → The mode of cross pollination is carried out by birds .
( b ) Elephophily → The mode of cross pollination is carried out by elephants ( as in Rafflesia ) .
( c ) Artificial Pollination → This mode of cross pollination is carried out by humans .
