1. A pigment is an optically active substance which absorbs most of the colours of wight light and selectively reflect one or more colours.
2. The colour gets activated only when the pigments are exposed to white light.
3. Example - A cricket ball is made up a material absorb red light, so when we see it in the sun it will be appear cyan.
