(i) Unsaturated solution:
The solution in which more amount of solute can be dissolved at the given temperature, is known as unsaturated solution.

(ii) Saturated solution:
The solution in which no more solute can be dissolved at the given temperature, is known as saturated solution.

The solution that contains more amount of solute than what is dissolved in a saturated solution at a given temperature is known as supersaturated solution.
