Explain the function of Iris, Pupil and Retina. Differentiate near point and far point in human eye. [5 MARKS]
Each point: 1 Mark
1. Iris - It is a dark muscular diaphragm that controls the size of pupil. It is behind the cornea. It is responsible for providing colour to the eye as it contains melanin pigment.
2. Pupil - It regulates and controls the amount of light entering the eye. It is the black opening between aqueous humour & lens. It is black in colour for all humans because it doesn't reflects any colour of light i.e., it absorbs all the colours of light
3. Retina : Thin membrane with large numbers of light sensitive rods and cone cells. The eyelens forms the image on retina. The retina transfers the image to brain via the optic nerve.
