Explain the functions of a wholesaler.

The basic difference between wholesaler and retailer is that while wholesaler acts as a link between the manufacturer and the retailer, on the other hand, the retailer acts a link between the wholesaler and the final consumer.

The wholesaler purchases the commodities in bulk from the manufacturer and sells it to the retailers. The retailers in turn sell the commodities to the final consumer. Thus, the link as follows.
