Solution: . Egyptian civilization flourished on the banks of the longest river of the world, that is the river Nile.Agriculture was the primary activity they were involved with. The Egyptians were also engaged in weaving and production of glassware.They formed an art of writing known as Hieroglyphics, which means sacred writing. They used the leaves of the plant called papyrus for writing. They even used stones for this purpose. They formulated a solar calendar with 365 days in a year. The year was divided into 12 months of 30 days each. The remaining five days were left for celebrations. They made a sundial and a water clock too to determine the time. A sundial is a clock that tells time by the shadow cast by the sun. The Egyptians were even advanced in the field of mathematics. They knew how to calculate the area of the geometrical figures such as triangles and rectangles. The Egyptians were skillful in sculpture too. For example, the sphinx, built by the Egyptians with huge stones. A sphinx is a statue with the body of a lion and the head of a human. So we can conclude that the Egyptian civilization was one of the advanced civilizations of ancient times.
