explain the law of conservation of linear momentum in the rockets and jets planes

Dear Student ,
The propulsion of rockets and jet planes are really very interesting application of conservation law of momentum .Look when the fuel of rockets or jet planes are exploded , gases escape with a large velocity creating large momentum .This escaping gases impart an equal and opposite momentum to the rocket . Therefore the momentum is conserved here.
