Explain the limitations of milk cooperative societies in India?

Disadvantages of milk cooperatives are as follows :

(a.) Insufficient capital- Since it is an autonomous organisation, huge capital is needed to run the organisation.

(b.) Inefficient management- Most of the members in the village Dairy Cooperative Societies were illiterate. Hence, there was lack in the efficiency for the proper management of the society.

(c.) Government interference- Interference from the government in the working of these societies might cause hindrance in the independent decision making.

(d.) Corruption- Some middle-men pay low price to the farmers for selling their milk in the cooperative society.
