Explain the lipid bilayer structure of cell membrane.

Cell membrane is composed of lipids that are arranged in a bilayer, also the lipids are arranged within the polar heads towards the outer side and the hydrophilic parts towards the inner part. The lipid content of the membrane mainly consists of phosphoglycerides.
