The wastewater from industry discharged into the river causes water pollution called industrial effluents
These effluents contain poisonous substances which water unfit for drinking.
Agricultural waste
The fertilizers and the pesticide used by the farmers washed out with rain in the river
This increases the concentration of nitrates and phosphates in water which utilize by algae for their growth as they grow further used oxygen for their growth which make a deficiency of oxygen for an aquatic animal this phenomenon is called eutrophication.
