Distillation is a separation process which can be used to separate the components of a solution, where at least one component is a liquid.
In this process, the mixture is heated until the liquid converts to its vapour state by the process of evaporation, leaving the other component(s) back. After this, the vapour is cooled to get back the liquid by condensation.
