Explain the method of making natural indicators from red cabbage

We can make natural indicator from red cabbage by following ways-
Chop up the red cabbage into small pieces
take 2-3 cups of red cabbage in a saucepan and cover it with water.
boil the solution and let it sit for 30 mins.
pour the cabbage water through strainer into a jar.
The dark purple liquid in the jar is the pH indicator.
when poured in a solution, red colour indicates acidic solution.
Greenish-yellow colour indicates basic solution.
Purple colour indicates neutral solution.
