Explain the method of median.

The Median is the "middle" of a sorted list of numbers.
If the number of terms is odd then median is $\frac{(n+1)}{2}$
If number of terms is even then median is average of $\left(\frac{n}{2}\right)$ th and $(\frac{n}{2}+1)$th
Median $=l+\left(\frac{\frac{n}{2}-cf}{f}\right)\times h$
where l = lower limit of median class.
n = number of observations
cf = cumulative frequency of class preceding the median class
f = frequency of median class
h = class size (assuming class size to be equal)
