Solution

The coconut oil and water can be separated with the help of a separating funnel.
The two immiscible liquids are separated on basis of differences in their densities.
The separating funnel has two phases
(a) aqueous phase and (b) organic solvent
Oil is lighter(less dense) forms the upper layer and water being denser forms the bottom layer.
The layer of water is collected first in the beaker then the upper layer of coconut oil is separated in another beaker.
