A region, which is closer to the sea, will have neither too hot, nor too cold climate.
However, if the region is farther from the sea, the region will experience extreme weather conditions- that is, very hot summers and very cold winters.
This is called the moderating effect of oceans and seas.
In India, places like Mumbai experiences moderate climate because it is situated close to the sea… while places like Delhi experiences extreme climate because it is very far away from the sea.
