Explain the nature of the image formed by a magnifying glass.

Magnifying glass:

  1. A magnifying glass is a convex lens used to make an object appear much larger than it actually is.
  2. This works when the object is placed at a distance less than the focal length from the lens.
  3. A magnifying glass uses a convex lens because these lenses cause light rays to converge, or come together.
