Solution
Dear student,
The necessity of political parties in democracy are as follows-
Political parties are useful for political culture in a country. This means that political parties oppose the government and convey the public's grievances to the government. They inform the people about working of the ruling parties, so political parties work as a link between the public and government.
Political parties are needed for aggregation, articulation and organisation of intrests.
They are useful for education of electorates and electoral processes
Due to many political parties in a democracy there are diverse options for electorates in elections to choose the right party.
When a political party is in power it forms and run the government. They make policies for the people when in power and ensure development. When they are not in power they act as oppositions for the other ruling party. Which creates a healthy competition which push the ruling party to work more progressively.
