Explain the objective of implementing the NREGA 2005.

NREGA 2005 is a law which is implemented by Government of India. It is referred to as 'Right to Work' because it guarantees 100 days of employment in a year to all those who are able to work. Following are its objectives:

1. To increase the income and employment of people.
2. The central government made a law implementing the Right to Work in 200 districts. Later increased to 625 districts and now in 644 districts.
4. NREGA aims to provide employment of 100 days. If it fails to do so, it will give unemployment allowances to the people.
