2.There are 32 teeth in adults. There are 8 incisors, 4 canines, 8 premolars and 12 molars.

Herbivores:

1.Herbivores have flat and sharp front teeth incisors.

2.Herbivores also possess broad back teeth called premolars and molars for grinding and chewing plants.

3.Canines are absent in herbivores.

Carnivores:

1.Carnivores have four different kinds of teeth.

2.Canines are in the front part of the mouth and they are long and pointed.

3.The long and pointed canines help them to tear the flesh of the other animals.

Omnivores:

1.The omnivores possess teeth for both plant products and flesh.

2.They have sharp incisors for biting plants and large canines for tearing.

3.Omnivores possess premolars and molars for grinding and chewing the food.
