The coastal plain in Karnataka lies between the Arabian sea and the Malnad Region. Its Width is 12 – 64 km, Height -200 m. They are also called Canara, i.e., Karnataka Coastline. The rivers form estuaries over deltas in this region.
The Western Ghats form the Malnad region. They are also called the Sahyadri.
There length is 650 km, Width - 50 - 76 km.And height is 900 to 1500 m.
Maidan region is located East of the Malnad region. Its Height is Approx. 450 m to 760 m. Irrigated by Tungabhadra, Kaveri and Krishna.
