Question

Explain the positive terminal and negative terminal of a cell

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
We know cell has two terminal dipped in some chemical solution.
Inside the solution ions moves and outside the solution through the wire
electron moves. Inside the solution positive and negative ions moves in opposite
direction. At one terminal some positive ions accumulate and another terminal some
negative ions accumulates due to which there is potential difference and electron moves
in wire out of the solution . From which terminal electron leaves is called negative
terminal and at which terminal it reach that terminal is called positive terminal
