Explain the preparation of glucose from cane sugar.

Canesugar(sucrose) is boiled with dil HCl or H2SO4. Hydrolysis gives equimolar mixture of
glucose and fructose. The mixture is then cooled and alcohol added. Insoluble glucose crystallizes out first on cooling and is separated by filtration.
