Explain the reaction between Zinc and sulphuric acid. [3 MARKS]

Reason : 1 Mark

The following reaction takes place between Zn and Sulphuric acid:
Zn(s)+H2SO4ZnSO4(aq)+H2(g)

Zinc is more reactive than Hydrogen as mentioned in the reactivity series. Because of this Zn, replaces Hydrogen from its compound forming Zinc sulphate and evolving hydrogen gas.
