1. 9th December 1946- The Constituent Assembly met for the first time.
2. 26th November 1949- The Constituent Assembly adopted the Indian Constitution. It is celebrated as Constitution Day.
3. 26th January 1950- The Indian Constitution came into effect. It is celebrated as Republic Day.
