Sugar crystals dissolve faster in hot water than cold water.

Sugar dissolves in water due to the random motion of the molecules of water and colliding with the stationary molecules of sugar imparting them kinetic energy.
This process is faster in hot water as the molecules of water move with higher velocity in hot water than in cold water. Thus, as the molecules of water are moving with higher velocity they collide more and impart more kinetic energy leading to a faster dissolution of sugar in hot water.
