Solution

Cement is manufactured in two steps:
  1. Formation of clinker.
  2. Formation of cement from clinker.
  • Raw materials are first crushed and homogenised into the mixture into a rotary kiln.
  • There it is heated with 2000 flame.
  • The kiln is kept at an inclined position so that the material reaches the other end and cools down.
  • Basic oxides are mixed to this mixture and clicker is obtained.
  • Gypsum and other additives are added to the clinker
All the constituents are ground leading to fine and homogenous powder. Cement is obtained.
