Solution
Germination is the process by which a seed begins its development into a mature plant. Steps of germination seeds are :-
Germination of seed begins with an increase metabolic activity followed by enlargement of the seed due to intake of water from the environment.
The seed's covering may wrinkle and crack, causing the embryonic root or radicle to emerge out from the seed and begins to grow down into the soil.
The shoot or plumule also emerges and grows upward out of the soil. Whereas, in some plants the growth of the shoot carries the cotyledons above the soil into the sunlight and in other species of plants the cotyledons remain underground.
