  1. The human respiratory system consists of nostrils, nasal cavities, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs.
  2. It helps in the movement of air in and out of the body.
  3. Lungs are the main respiratory organ. They are located within the chest cavity.
  4. The trachea, commonly called the windpipe, is a tube supported by cartilaginous rings that connect the pharynx and larynx to the lungs, allowing the passage of air.
  5. The trachea divides into the right and left bronchi and enters into the lungs. They divide further and end in small air sacs called alveoli
