Open in App
Solution

  • The visceral organs are made up of smooth muscle or unstriated muscles which are present in the walls of hollow organs like the urinary bladder, uterus, stomach, intestines etc.
  • Smooth muscle cells have a single nucleus and are spindle-shaped.
  • Its sarcoplasm consists of actin and myosin along with dense bodies in the sarcolemma which anchor the thin filaments.
  • A network of intermediate filaments is present in them that pulls the sarcolemma toward the fibers i.e it helps in contraction.
