Explain the structure of placenta. Also write two functions of placenta.

Placenta is the organ that is present in pregnant woman . It has several function:
1) Nutrition- For the development of foetus it transport nutrients from the mother blood to the foetus.
2) Respiration- It helps in respiration of foetus by provide oxygen and take away Co2 from the foetus.
