There are different methods which are used in the breeding techniques. Hypophysation is one the method which is used in fish breeding. The fishes are injected with an extract which is prepared from the pituitary gland. There are hormones which are released by the gland in the extract like the gonadotropins. The gonadotropins play an important role in increasing the frequency of breeding in the fishes.
