Question

explain the term 'laminer flow'. is the velocity of molecules same in all the layers in laminer flow? explain

Solution

Dear student

The laminar flow occurs when a fluid flows in parallel layers with no disruption between the layers. At low velocities the fluid tends to flow without lateral intermixing and adjacent layers slide past one another like playing cards.

In laminar flow the velocities of molecules at different positions can be different but their direction will be same.
