Explain the term Totipotency.

Totipotency is the genetic potential of a cell to produce the entire organism. These are the cell which is seen in the stem cells of the zygote, where a single zygote converts into an entire adult organism. The totipotent cell does not undergo cellular differentiation that is they did not take up specialised capacity so that they have the capacity to divide infinitely.
