Explain the terms: (a) Transmitter and (b) Receiver in communication system.

(a) Transmitter: It is a device that process an incoming signal so as to make it suitable for transmission, and then transmits it. Transmitter consists of (1) modulator, (2) amplifier, (3) transmission antenna.
(b) Receiver: A receiver is a device that selects a signal from among all the signals received from a communication channel, recovers the base band signal and delivers it to the user.
