Myogenic autoregulation in kidneys are a part of the autoregulation mechanism. This is define as how the arterioles, arteries behave in response to increase or decrease in blood pressure to maintain a normal, constant blood flow. This is very important in kidneys, which are very sensitive towards change in blood pressure.

Capsular hydrostatic pressure is a back pressure on glomerular blood hydrostatic pressure (GBHP) due to the presence of fluid in the renal tubule and the resistance of the tubule walls.

Colloidal osmotic pressure is also a back pressure on GBHP due to presence of osmotic pull on water of non filtering proteins in glomerular capillaries.
