Percentage composition: The percentage composition of a given compound is the ratio of the amount of each element to the total amount of individual elements present in the compound.

Empirical formula: The empirical formula is the simplest formula, which gives the simplest ratio in whole numbers of atoms of different elements present in one molecule of the compound.

Molecular formula: The molecular formula of a compound denotes the actual number of atoms of different elements present in one molecule of a compound.
