Explain the working of a wind instrument?
Working of wind instrument.
1- In wind instruments the vibrating air column in a hollow tube produces music.
2- For example, when we blow air through the mouthpiece of the flute the air column starts vibrating which produces sound.
3- The air enters the flute by a mouthpiece and leaves the end of the tube and the other holes on the flute.
4- By closing and opening the holes of the flute with fingers the length of the column of the air inside the flute can be altered. In this way we will produce sound in wind instruments like the flute.
Hence, the vibrating air column in the flute produces sound, this is true for all wind instruments.
