Instructions: Tell about warm and cold current
Solution: Ocean currents can be broadly classified into two types: Warm ocean current and cold ocean current.
Warm Ocean Current: Warm ocean current is the current in which the ocean water is warmer than the surrounding water. The equatorial part of the earth receives more heat compared to the poles. So, the water near the equator region is generally warmer. So the warm ocean current flows from equator to poles.
Cold Ocean Current: Cold ocean current is the current in which the ocean water is cooler than the surrounding water. Generally, cold ocean currents move from the polar region that is colder to the equator that is a hotter region.
