Solution

Basic salts:

  • Salts that are formed by the partial replacement of the ionizable hydrogen ions or the incomplete neutralization of a base is called basic salts
BasesBasic salts
Pb(OH)2Pb(NO3)2.Pb(OH)2
Ca(OH)2CuCO3.Cu(OH)2

Mixed salts:

  • They are formed by the combination of more than one acid or base radical or more than one cation or anion.

Example:

Ca(OCl)ClBleachingpowderNa2KPO4DisodiumPottassiumPhosphate

Complex salts:

  • They are formed when anions, neutral molecules, or both are held together by a metal ion.

Example:

FeSO4.(NH4)2SO4.6H2O(Mohr'ssalt)K2SO4.Al2(SO4)3.24H2O(Potashalum)

Double salts:

  • They are formed by combining two simple salts which dissolve in water to form a crystal.

Example: K4Fe(CN)6PottassiumFerrocyanideNaAlO2SodiumAluminate
