Explain why a real image can be projected on a screen but a virtual image cannot.

Solution

A real image is formed by the actual interaction of rays, hence it is possible to project it on a screen.

A virtual image is formed by back tracing the path of reflected rays. Since they do intersect actually, they cannot be projected on a screen.
