A rectangle has the following characteristics:-
(i) It has 4 sides, the opposite sides are equal & parallel to each other.
(ii) Each angle =90o. So, under the above characteristics, if we join the opposite corners, the diagonals will lie entirely in the interior of the rectangle.
Moreover, all the angles are less than 180o.
These are the characteristics of convex polygons.
